A History of Tag Heuer Watches
In 1860, Tag Heuer watch company founder, Edouard Heuer's main goal was to take time measurement precision to the next level, so he opened up shop and formed the Tag Heuer watch company. In time, due to his company’s advanced techniques, the term was coined and he became known as the “avant-garde of watchmaking.”
Among the many innovations of the Tag Heuer watch company are the first chronograph watches measuring 100ths of a second in 1916,
the automatic chronograph with a microrotor in 1969, was the first analog display quartz chronograph in 1983 and the grade 5 titanium carbon fiber chronograph mechanism in 1998.
